I was asked to paint a weathy lounging Ghiscari Woman (Game of Thrones universe, inspired by Ancient Mesopotamian culture). You know how I love my middle-aged powerful women! I picture her along the lines of a pirate queen, merchant mobster boss, or tyrannical trader. I want the viewer to intuitively know that she is wealthy by her own means and is not royalty, but self-made.
