Goddess Hercules (of the Femythology series)

My personal project "Femythology" is a collection of visual retellings of familiar patriarchal myths. The chained goddess has awakened and furiously reincarnates all of the heroes and gods of greek myths in a restorative storm. Will it restore balance and bring back peace?

In the original story of Hercules the hero is the paradigm of masculine power- raw, unbound, and irresponsible. He is assigned the herculean labors as penance. In each labor he subdues or kills a symbol sacred to the pre-civilization goddesses that the patriarchal greek culture was conquering. He becomes a symbol of the patriarchy subduing the matriarchal cultures. In my retelling of Hercules, she is the symbol of female power. Instead of subduing the nemean lion, boar, hydra (etc) she is leading them into a new myth.
